Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked US President Donald Trump to implement the so-called Lindsey Graham Act against Russia, the law that provides for new sanctions against Moscow and countries financially supporting the war.

In a post on X, Zelensky also urged European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to impose further European sanctions. The request came after another night of Russian attacks in Ukraine.

According to Zelensky, 14 people were injured and two were killed in the Zaporizhia region. The raids targeted homes in Kyiv, Zaporizhia, and the Odessa, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. Damage was also reported to a kindergarten in Kyiv, a high school in the capital region, and a university in Kharkiv, as well as energy infrastructure in the Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Vinnytsia regions.

Zelensky claimed that Russia is "intensifying its attacks every day" and called on international leaders to maintain sanctions against Russian oligarchs and continue to restrict trade with Moscow until the end of the war.
