Russia's aviation watchdog said all four Moscow airports and Kaluga Airport, 160 kilometers southwest of the capital, were temporarily closed, without giving a reason.

"Temporary restrictions have been imposed on the operations of Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky and Kaluga airports to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights," the Federal Air Transport Agency said in a statement, as reported by Interfax.

All these airports have suspended arrivals and departures, the Russian news agency says.
