The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassy in India are currently verifying the situation in the tourist resort of Pahalgam, in Indian Kashmir, after the terrorist attack against a group of tourists . The attack was claimed by the terrorist group 'Fronte della Resistenza', affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, through a post spread on social media.
"According to some Indian news sources, among the victims there could be an Italian tourist: the Indian police and security agencies are proceeding with the identification of the victims and so far have not confirmed an Italian victim. The Italian embassy continues to monitor all sources and continues its requests to the Indian authorities".
