A "disturbing and upsetting" episode. With these words, the Mayor of Liverpool Joanne Anderson defined what happened on Sunday in the Sefton Park area, in the center of the English city, on the day of the solemn commemoration of the fallen. Around 11 in the morning, near a hospital and not far from the cathedral,an explosion occurred , followed by a fire, in a taxi.

The toll is of one victim: it is the passenger of the car, while the taxi driver managed to escape and is hospitalized. The man on board was a bomber, but the driver realized what he was about to do and fled, locking him in the cockpit.

It is a 32-year-old of Islamic origins, Emad Al Swealmeen.

On Sunday evening three young people aged 29, 26 and 21 were arrested and arrested, precisely on the basis of anti-terrorism laws. The investigation into the incident, however, continues.
