The shark that attacked and killed a 35-year-old British man in Australia may have mistaken him for a seal due to the wetsuit the man was wearing.

Simon Nellis, the victim's name, was swimming in the waters in front of Buchan Point, near Sydney, and was training for a charity contest when the four and a half meter long animal attacked and killed him. According to an expert, Lawrence Chlebeck, the shark probably mistook the victim for a seal. "Great white sharks are large predators that consume a lot of energy, so they need a lot of calorie food and seal fat is perfect." Nellis screamed with all her might for help, many people from the beach heard him before he was carried offshore.
