It is the Social Democratic Party SPD that emerges victorious in the parliamentary elections in Germany which mark the end of the Merkel era.

SPD obtained 25.7% of the votes, beating by measure the conservative Christian Democrats CDU-CSU of the same Merkel, who with 24.1% obtained the worst result in its history. Suffice it to say that the CDU itself has lost, in favor of the SPD, the college that Angela Merkel had conquered eight consecutive times since 1990, in the district of the Land of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, without counting the collapse to 31% (-7 %) of the CSU conservatives in the traditional "fief" of Bavaria.

The third force to come out of the polls are the Greens, with 14.8% of the votes, while the Fdp liberals closed at 11.5%. On the other hand, the consensus for the ultra-right Afd, which obtained about 10%, compared to 12.6% 4 years ago, but which is affirming itself in the eastern Land of Saxony and in Thuringia, is decreasing.

THE GOVERNMENT NODE - As for the hypotheses on the next government, the majority is not yet defined, but Verdi and Fdp will tip the balance.

Leading candidates Scholz (SPD) and Laschet (CDU) both said a ruling coalition will certainly be finalized by December.

And the new executive could be formed by a social-democratic coalition, with Greens and liberals in support. "The voters have expressed their will very clearly: they have strengthened the SPD, the Greens and the Liberals. And these three must lead the new government," said Olaf Scholz, Chancellor in pectore of the SPD ( IL PORTRAIT ) from Berlin.

"Chancellor is whoever has a majority in the Bundestag with him", the number one of the CDU Armin Laschet in Berlin replied at a press conference, opening the Jamaica hypothesis (Union, Greens and liberals): "We agreed in the board on the fact to be available for talks for the so-called Jamaica ". The Union, out of responsibility towards the voters, "wants to govern".

The liberals, meanwhile, announce with the leader Christian Lindner that "we have decided that we will start some pre-explorations with the Greens".
