Many people in need of treatment have not been able to reach hospitalsThe number of victims of clashes in Sudan between the armed forces and the RSF, the Rapid Support Forces, has risen to 97.
There are dozens of injured and many have not been able to reach hospitals due to the difficulties of moving around the area, according to reports from the Sudanese doctors' union.
An appeal to "immediately stop the violence" came from the US and British foreign ministers who invite the parties to return to the negotiating table. There is agreement on the need for "an immediate ceasefire and a return to talks, talks that have been very promising in putting Sudan on the path to full transition, towards a civilian-led government," said the Secretary of US State Antony Blinken together with his British counterpart, James Cleverly, on the sidelines of the G7 Foreign Affairs summit in Karuizawa, Japan.
