Cagliari native Manuel Mameli dies in Ukraine: he fought against the Russians

A young man from Cagliari was killed in recent days in Ukraine, where he was fighting as a volunteer in the International Legion against the Russians , and therefore regularly enrolled in the Armed Forces of Kiev.
The Corriere della Sera reports: it is Manuel Mameli, 25 years old, born in Cagliari on 14 March 2000 .
Confirmation from the Ukrainian military institutions is still missing, but the news of his death was reported by his comrades in arms, who contacted the Italian Embassy and Manuel's family.
The young man's body is currently unrecoverable, as it is located in an area under the control of Russian forces .
