Sardinia 's food and wine excellences on display in Brussels , on 19 and 20 November, in the prestigious and historic Palais d'Afrique Paleizenlaan – Tervuren .

The event, organized on the occasion of the "Week of Italian Cuisine in the World" , includes two days on the island entirely dedicated to tastings and four show cookings , including recipes, agri-food products and quality brand wines which will be told by Sardinian chefs and sommeliers in the spaces dedicated to the region.

Sardinia will decline the theme that characterizes this eighth edition of the world exhibition "At the table with Italian cuisine: well-being with taste" focusing on healthy Sardinian nutrition as a lifestyle.

« Sardinia - underlined the councilor Valeria Satta - is currently the most requested and sought after region, not only in the wine sector but in all the typical agri-food products of the territory. This is pushing us more and more into the need and need to promote our island abroad and in Italy . With our participation in Brussels, in a showcase of excellence, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida, we will talk about our land through tastings, conferences and stories full of traditions".

The event will be opened on Sunday morning by Pino Nacci - President of the Italian Chefs Federation in Belgium - with the inauguration of the food and wine stands.

In the afternoon, in the area reserved for conferences, the following will speak: Valeria Satta, Councilor for Agriculture of the Sardinia Region; Tindaro Paganini, director of Ita; Simone Billi, president of the Committee for Italians in the World and president of the Italy-Belgium Interparliamentary Union; Giorgio De Bin, director of the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce; Alfonso Santagata, head of ENIT Brussels; Benedetta Dentamaro, Vice President of COMITES and Elisa Vitella, head of CNA Brussels.
Alessandro Ciriciello, member of TASIN, Media & Public Affairs of the Italian Chefs Federation, will then speak, revealing the reasons behind the presence of Sardinia among the "blue zones", i.e. those in which there is a greater number of over-centenarians.

During the second part of the afternoon, at 6.30 pm and after other speeches, speeches by Federica Favi, Ambassador of Italy, and Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry are scheduled.

The first day will end with a Master Class organized by the Sardinia Region, which will feature Sardinian agri-food products with the DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) and IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) brands, expertly combined with quality local wines.
