Alarm last night, just before midnight, at the Saint-Lazare station in Paris. A man threatened with a knife, shouting "Allah Akbar", two French railway security officers who responded by firing gunshots. The man was seriously injured and is now on a confidential prognosis.

An investigation into what happened was opened for "attempted murder on a representative of the public authority, apology for terrorism and armed violence", the Paris prosecutor specified. The policemen would have fired with the service weapon "to defend themselves and neutralize him".
