A gas station in Yahodyn, near the Ukrainian-Polish border, was hit during a massive drone strike against Ukraine, causing a large fire. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated this on X, while Nexta TV published images, specifying that a gas station and several trucks were on fire near the border crossing. "This is Putin's terror, which is knocking directly on the doors of the EU and NATO. The Russian barbarians are already at your door, dear partners," Sybiha wrote.
In this context, the diplomat once again urged the world not to delay and to stop Russia before it's too late. "Act now: unleash the full weight of your sanctions against Putin's aggressive regime. Make sure Moscow pays the consequences. Not half measures, but decisive and uncompromising steps. A total trade embargo. Absolute entry bans. Comprehensive sanctions against the military-industrial complex. Putin must understand that his barbarity will be met with a firm response , capable of making the cost of the war unacceptable to him. That's the only way to stop him."
Drones also targeted a border crossing between Ukraine and Poland, hitting a passenger train operating on the Kyiv-Warsaw route just two kilometers from the border , in the Volhynia region. The train crew had been warned of the threat in advance by Ukrainian authorities and no injuries were reported; there were over 200 passengers on board.
"All emergency teams are working near the Polish-Ukrainian border, in the Volhynia region, where the Russians deliberately set fire to a train locomotive and damaged a gas station in a drone attack," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X. "Last night and this morning, power plants, the Ukrzaliznytsia railway company, businesses, and residential buildings were targeted. Odessa was attacked with missiles and drones. Recovery efforts are underway in many western regions following the nighttime raids."
