The first series of events of the project "La Marmilla in Denmark" has concluded in Copenhagen.
The events, organized in the Danish capital by the Sardinian association INCANTOS, saw the Tenores di Neoneli and the Bio Distretto Sud Sardegna as protagonists, in a three-day event dedicated to music and good traditional food.
Many initiatives, one of which also involved the Italian Cultural Institute in Copenhagen. The performances of the Tenores di Neoneli were a success, while the heart of the three days was the food and wine trail of organic products from the Bio Distretto Sud Sardegna. A combination of music, food and tradition, which allowed Sardinia to be known by the many Italians living in the capital, Danes and foreigners present in the city during this period.
The Neoneli tenors also held a concert at the Helleruplund Kirke church, which attracted, in addition to the many Sardinians living in Copenhagen, also many Danes. For Olimpia Grussu, president of the Sardinian association “Incantos”, it was «an important opportunity to make Tenore singing known in Denmark, declared by UNESCO as an intangible heritage of humanity. Through these events, and thanks to the support of Italian institutions and the region, we are managing to create a beautiful bridge of exchange between the two cultures».
The project is funded by the Sardinia Region, with the collaboration of the Bio District of Southern Sardinia, the Tenores of Neoneli and the Fernando Santi Institute of Sardinia.
