A bottle of wine does not have to cost an arm and a leg to be good and high quality.

This is the belief of food and wine critic Eric Asimov, who this year too has drawn up for the New York Times his personal ranking of the 20 best labels on the market in the world with a price that does not exceed 20 dollars (just over 19 euros) .

And, in the list, Asimov also included a Sardinian wine , one of the four Italian ones present in the selection. It is the Piero Mancini Vermentino di Gallura 2023 .

The other three Italian-made wines featured in the NYT’s top under-$20 list are Col di Luna Veneto Flora Rosato Frizzante NV, Gioventu Chianti 2022, and Oltretorrente Colli Tortonesi Rosso 2022.
