The conditions of former mayor Massimo Zedda are improving, injured in a car accident on Wednesday evening in the Oristano area. The Progressives regional councilor is hospitalized in the maxillofacial surgery department of the Holy Trinity with facial trauma, fractured cheekbones and both wrists and other injuries throughout his body. Next week he will undergo two surgeries: on Monday he will be operated on the cheekbones, on Tuesday on the wrists.

The incident occurred at around 8 pm on Wednesday on a provincial road, on the way back from an electoral meeting in Santu Lussurgiu. The umpteenth of a tour de force that in the last period has seen him engaged in support of various candidates. Zedda was traveling alone when he lost control of his car and went off the road. To cause the skidding would have been a stroke of sleep, but the investigations are still ongoing. The politician was rescued from 118 and transported first to San Martino di Oristano, then to the Holy Trinity.
