Seven fires in Sardinia, helicopter in action in Orgosolo

It was another day of intense activity for the Forestry Corps in Sardinia, where seven fires were reported today. In one case, in Orgosolo, the intervention of the regional fleet's aircraft was necessary.

The flames broke out in the Ponte Nurudai area and destroyed approximately one hectare of olive grove.

The firefighting operations were coordinated by the Nuoro Forestry Corps Station, with support from a helicopter from the Farcana base. A team from the Forestas Agency from the Orgosolo construction site and a team from the Nuoro fire department were also on site. As of 6:00 PM, the fire was under control and being extinguished.
