Emergency intervention on Asinara for a worker suffering from an electric shock. This morning, the Porto Torres Coast Guard carried out the emergency transport from the island to the port of Stintino of a 34-year-old construction worker who had suffered an injury due to a presumed accidental electric shock while working on the island.

The young man was transferred aboard the CP 871 rescue vessel, which reached the Cala Reale mooring, where the 34-year-old had already received initial treatment from medical personnel from CISOM - the Order of Malta's Italian Relief Corps, which provides seasonal medical care on the island from June 1st to September 30th. He was then transferred aboard the Coast Guard vessel and transferred to the port of Stintino , where a 118 ambulance awaited him, taking him to the emergency room in Sassari.

The activity was conducted under a memorandum of understanding promoted by the Port Authority of Porto Torres and signed by the Sassari Local Health Authority, the Municipality of Porto Torres, the Sardinian Coastal Conservation Authority, the Asinara National Park, and CISOM. The aim of the memorandum is to provide first aid to residents traveling through or visiting the island of Asinara, especially during peak periods.
