The suspects for the death of Salvatore Santeddu, the 54-year-old from Nuoro who was crushed by the van he was repairing, on 5 October last, in a farm on the road between Nuoro and the hamlet of Lollove , rise to three.

This is the president of the Macomer Project H cooperative, Alessia Pintus , who, together with the Lariso cooperative of Nuoro, took care of the social reintegration internship that Santeddu was attending.

The other two suspects are Antonio Cossu, owner of the company where the worker worked, and his tutor Giampaolo Congia . For all the crime hypothesis formulated by the prosecutor of Nuoro Giorgio Bocciarelli is manslaughter.

In recent days, the magistrate entrusted the expert Paolo Marcialis with the task of assessing the dynamics of the accident and the state of the brakes of the truck that killed Santeddu.

It also investigates the state of the vehicle that overwhelmed the man to understand if it was regularly overhauled and if the maintenance of the van was part of the tasks provided for by the internship.

The report, which will be used to answer some questions of the investigation, will be delivered to the public prosecutor no earlier than 60 days. No one would have witnessed the accident directly on the morning of 5 October, but the owner of the company and the tutor were the first to intervene and help the worker. Santeddu was about to finish an internship that had turned out to be an opportunity for him: a few days later he should have been hired by the farm where he unfortunately lost his life.
