Vandalism has occurred at the University's Department of Architecture in Alghero. Unknown assailants damaged the building's access stairway, ripping out the railings and knocking them to the ground. Security concerns have arisen again, with a request for a video surveillance system, which is lacking in an area that is heavily frequented in the evenings.

The incident was reported to law enforcement, but concerns remain about the repeated acts of vandalism against university facilities . In the past, gangs of thugs had broken into the Department's premises to attempt to steal coins from vending machines. Only a small amount of change was stolen, but the damage to the facility was evident.

Some interventions were also requested to ensure greater security for the building, especially at the entrances where vandals find it easier to access .
