A wooden cross and a crown of thorns at the foot of the first wind turbine mounted on the Island. This corner, between the industrial area of Marrubiu and State Road 131, has become a symbolic place: here today was the second stage of the route “The cross of the Sardinian people”, which starts from Santa Giusta and will arrive in Cagliari passing through Villacidro. «We want to reiterate that the Island is currently crucified but will be able to free itself and win this battle» repeats Davide Fadda, of the permanent garrison of the Sardinian people and Pratobello network .

Committees, associations, administrators and citizens have arrived from every part of the island to once again shout their no to all those projects for wind, photovoltaic and agrivoltaic plants that risk marking a point of no return for the environment, the landscape but also for Sardinian traditions and identity. The flags of the Four Moors are waving and the protesters, in an absolutely peaceful manner, remind us of the need for mobilization .

And once again, the Church is alongside the population . The parish priest of Marrubiu, Don Alessandro Enna reiterates it: «I am here with you to share some issues such as the relationship with the territory, the environmental impact of an intervention that risks taking away our very livelihood», he said. «Solidarity and closeness to those who fight, to those who signed for the Pratobello law».

The mayor of Marrubiu, Luca Corrias, points out that «if nothing could be done to block the installation of that enormous blade, now there will be strong opposition to the agrivoltaic project on 80 hectares in the irrigated lands of Sant'Anna». The interventions continue, the protagonists then become the women and men who responded to the appeal: flag of the Four Moors on their shoulders, each one climbs onto the cross and then descends with the hope of saving their own land .
