Maria Puliga, a grandmother from Settimo San Pietro, died last night. She would have turned 103 on October 2nd.

The news quickly spread throughout the town, sparking deep mourning. Aunt Maria was the mother of six children, with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was married to Giuseppe Cadelano, who passed away in 1989. Many grandparents in Settimo have lived past the age of one hundred.

Santina Pisu died three years ago at 108 years old. And, again, Daniela Pisu, at 107 years old and her sister Ida Pisu at 105 years old.
