They ended up against the rocks of Capo Teulada. This morning 18 Algerians, including a minor, were spotted and saved by a patrol boat of the Guardia di Finanza, Aeronaval department, on patrol in the area.
The military, after having reassured the occupants, freed the vessel, and then escorted it to the tourist port of Teulada. One of the people on board was disabled, another had fallen ill: so 118 was also alerted.
Waiting for the soldiers in the port was a joint force team from the Frontex Agency and two Areus rescue vehicles, which immediately transported the two Algerians in difficulty to hospital. The others, escorted by a patrol of the Carbonia State Police, were transferred to the Monastir Cpa.
