National Future responded harshly to the departure of 500 "vannacciani" from the general's party in Sassari. The representative of the "Sassari 643 Committee," Marcello Orrù, had made public, in a letter, his move from the National Front to Marco Rizzo's political project, Italia domani.

This decision, however, doesn't worry the general's party, or at least its regional coordinator Gianluca Dessì. "For several months, Marcello Orrù had been pushing for the recognition of some positions," he reported in a statement. Dessì made public his concerns about the Committee "and the actual size of its membership."

"When we requested clarification, further information, and meetings with the members," he continues, "the discussion with Orrù strangely stopped; we never heard from him again." Then the outcome of the investigation: "488 members out of approximately 500 were associated with the same telephone number, the same email address, and the same address, which can be traced back to a newsstand. A singular circumstance, to say the least, and it would be interesting to understand why 488 different people were reachable through the same numbers and resided at the same newsstand."

Dessì also claims that, so far, no emails or phone calls have been received from members "asking for explanations." The episode concludes with Dessì saying: "Futuro Nazionale is not for sale, Sardinia is not for sale." "Positions are not assigned based on simply declared numbers, but on actual participation, presence in the area, and the reliability and verifiability of membership," he states.
