The officials of the Sassari Excise, Customs and Monopoly Agency (ADM), on duty in Olbia , and the men of the Olbia Group Finance Police, as part of the cargo and passenger control activities, found in the baggage of an Italian citizen residing in France, arriving from Basel, three packs of 36 and 22 caliber ammunition for a total of 91 cartridges and a "Power 2000" model contact taser.

The passenger was reported to the judicial authorities , as he did not deliver ammunition to the commander or another member of the crew for communications to the competent authorities, and was reported for carrying weapons and objects to offend and illegal possession of weapons .

The man now risks arrest for up to 12 months or a fine of up to € 371 . He was also accused of "smuggling in the movement of goods across borders and customs areas, for hiding foreign goods in his baggage".

The conduct is sanctioned with a fine ranging from double to ten times the customs duties evaded. All the material was seized.
