Winter arrives in Sardinia , and with it heavy rains and snow.

After a mild first half of the season, with often spring-like temperatures and lots of swimming at the Poetto, the Azores anticyclone moves to the north-central Atlantic. The polar currents can therefore reach the island without obstacles.

A clear and sudden change in climate, with a drop in temperatures expected as early as Sunday evening and which will become even more marked from Wednesday . Rains and strong westerly winds arrive on Monday, with scattered thunderstorms .

Snowfalls are also expected: initially in the mountains from 1,200 meters upwards, from Thursday onwards the snow could also descend on the hills .
