More fires: aircraft in action in Goni, Talana and Mores

On Monday 30 June , 17 fires broke out in as many locations on the island.
One of the most challenging fronts is in the countryside of Goni , where a helicopter from the Villasalto Forestry Corps base also intervened to put out the flames that covered an area of around 7,000 square metres of cork oak forest .
A helicopter also flew in the Municipality of Talana , in support of the ground teams. Here the fire has spread across thousands of square meters of Mediterranean scrub .
Another helicopter and a SuperPuma flew over the Benadilesi area, in Mores, to put out another particularly threatening fire.
The fire-fighting teams and aircraft also continued the operations to extinguish and clear the perimeter of the fire that broke out yesterday between Sassari and Alghero .
