Tari lighter for everyone thanks to the recovery of tax evasion which this year marks an absolute record: 2 million and 600 thousand euros collected. Reductions of up to 20 percent compared to 2021 for families, minus 7 percent for productive activities.
"A result achieved by working hard, also with a work of persuasion that is giving the hoped-for results", commented Mayor Graziano Milia during today's discussion in the City Council.
"Looking at the 2021 data, the improvement is evident, even in the individual attitudes of citizens, because a certain awareness is finally being acquired. With everyone's contribution, we are in a position to pay less. All this despite a very difficult general context, which is determined both by factors external to the Island, such as the war, and internal, such as the Tecnocasic issue, which often forces us to dispose of waste in Sulcis, with inevitable increases in costs to be borne".
Confirmed also for this year, the third in a row, the Tari bonuses for virtuous Quartesi who regularly pay the waste tax.
For now 100 thousand euros obtained in the municipal budget, but the intention is to allocate further dedicated resources. Discount that is added to the aid for families in economic hardship followed by the Social Services of the Municipality: 90 thousand euros in total. "A careful management brings positive results, which we want to continue to improve", the words of the deputy mayor Tore Sanna.
"While waiting for the necessary changes at the supra-municipal level in the ordinary management of urban hygiene, we are looking for the point of balance, countering an incongruous band of evasion, paradoxically higher in non-domestic users, who in some cases have even been absent from the taxpayers' register. And this year's budget also includes resources to be allocated to Social Services, so that citizens in serious economic difficulty can be helped."
