The severe weather also reached Oristano , and its effects were far from negligible. Rain and hail accompanied strong gusts of wind from the early hours of the day, putting pressure on the city, causing damage and traffic disruptions.

The most critical moment occurred shortly after noon, around 12:30 p.m., in the heart of the historic center. In Piazza Cattedrale, the large illuminated star, installed during the Christmas holidays, was blown off by the wind and landed on a parked car. The impact damaged the vehicle, but fortunately no one was injured.

Already this morning, clear signs of the wind's strength were seen in Piazza Roma, where branches from tall palm trees broke and fell onto the roadway and sidewalks. Firefighters responded quickly to the scene to remove the branches and secure the area, while the police temporarily closed the affected area.

The consequences for traffic were also immediate: slow traffic, aided by the reopening of schools after the holidays, forced detours, and long traffic jams complicated travel. A day marked by unstable weather, requiring vigilance and urgent interventions to ensure safety in the city.
