The murderer is still at large. The register of suspects is immaculate, the investigative activity continues without stopping, although there is no trace of the murderer. Yesterday afternoon in the church of San Giovanni Battista, the parish priest of Ilbono, Don Luigi Murgia, celebrated the mass of suffrage.

On the desk of Deputy Prosecutor Giovanna Morra, in charge of the investigation, there are two separate files. The first was prepared in the hours following the murder of Marco Mameli, which occurred at 11 pm on March 1st.
The second, the investigating magistrate opened on March 3, after Paolo Migali, 27 years old, unemployed from Girasole, spontaneously presented himself at the Tortolì police station in the hours preceding the incident, where he made spontaneous statements .
He told the officers, led by Deputy Police Commissioner Fabrizio Figliola, that he was the one who wounded Andrea Contu (26), a worker from Ilbono, distancing himself however from the facts linked to the murder.
