For thirteen years, Saboris Antigus has traveled through the villages of Trexenta and Sarcidano, offering a unique itinerant format. This project has grown over time, maintaining continuity and involving nine municipalities in a journey dedicated to local products, gastronomy, and traditions. The theme chosen for this edition is "Taste and Territories. Protagonists in the First Person," with a focus on the true custodians of local heritage: producers, artisans, and families who pass down recipes and knowledge. Alongside promoting the identities of individual villages, the event focuses on collaboration between municipal administrations, associations, and producers.

Gergei kicks off the calendar today, Sunday, October 25th, with a day featuring the historic center, the domus (traditional houses), and the exhibition spaces. At Casa Porru, visitors can discover traditional bread, pasta, cheese, and dessert preparations, including tastings of Su Succu de Santa Maria and the preparation of Is Sessineddus (a traditional Sardinian dessert). The program also includes visits to the parish of San Vito Martire and the church of Santa Maria, the "Gusto & Calici" food and wine trail, children's workshops, and exhibitions dedicated to weaving, Sardinian costumes, vintage toys, and vintage footwear. Music and entertainment will accompany the day in the historic center, with Sardinian dances, street theater in the Sardinian language, and performances by traditional groups.

After Gergei, the event will stop in Selegas on October 31st and November 1st, then in Serri on November 8th, Siurgus Donigala on November 15th, Gesico on November 22nd, Suelli on November 29th, Guasila on December 6th, and Nurri on December 13th. It will conclude, as per tradition, in Mandas on December 20th with a long day dedicated to crafts, food, and fine wine through the streets of the historic center. The Saboris Antigus journey continues with its usual goal: connecting the regions and highlighting the activities that shape their economy and culture.
