A mother and daughter were trapped in their car during a heavy rainstorm. It happened this morning, around 8:00 a.m., in Porto Torres, when, following a rainstorm that lasted several minutes, the local fire department responded to Via Fonta Cherchi, a local road prone to flooding, to rescue a mother and daughter trapped inside their car.

Both women, terrified, screamed for help because they couldn't free themselves from the water trap that prevented them from exiting the car, at a critical point on the road that was completely flooded. Firefighters arrived on the scene and drove an off-road vehicle to the scene to take them to safety.

No injuries were reported; the Porto Torres Carabinieri and Local Police were also on site and closed the road.
