17% of Sardinians give up medical care .

The secretary general of the Cgil Sardegna, Fausto Durante , underlines the "dramatic" fact, speaking of a "critical situation that must make us question the actions to be taken".

Making the picture even darker are the long waiting lists, the poverty that does not allow turning to private individuals and the flop of territorial medicine.

Result: on the Island the percentage of patients and sick people who give up, deciding not to undergo tests and therapies, is increasing .
