Working on the issues of hardship, continuing with initiatives for debate and discussion. Monica Chessa , regional manager of the Department of Equal Opportunities Lega Salvini , intervenes on the issue of gender equality and violence against women. " We are still too weak, we lack a true sense of respect for women and this exposes us to the risk of having to endure violent behavior that often degenerates into irreversible situations. So what we are doing with the movements and associations that work in defense of the victims of gender violence is not enough", says Chessa.
The regional manager is convinced that we must work "so that civil maturity increasingly makes room for people and reaches even those social realities most compromised by hardship. We must dedicate time to the problem of hardship, a difficult issue that can lead to terrible cases of encroachment into a violent, dark and one-way reality , capable of destroying lives, families and entire city communities because of the pain".
Chessa feels there is a need: "We must never give up. Active Observatories must be activated in every neighborhood, in every town, in every city, and where they already exist, they should go deeper into the social fabric, to share feelings and the moral climate and evaluate any tensions or obvious discomforts, before they can compromise the serenity and balance needed to avoid irreparable episodes."
