For a few days, in Villaurbana, some news has arrived in separate waste collection. In fact, the inhabitants will have to use the new tubs equipped with microchips for the collection of dry and wet waste for all TARI utilities, including commercial ones.

That of the tubs with microchips was an activity envisaged by the contract stipulated with the company that takes care of the collection, in order to monitor the utilities served. In the future, the technology to apply the so-called Punctual Pricing is being studied.

"All the actions we are putting in place - comments the mayor Paolo Pireddu - are oriented towards an attempt to reduce the tax that weighs on citizens, which unfortunately tends to rise due to the higher costs incurred by the disposal plants".

The use of old tubs or non-compliant ones will result in the non-collection of waste . Citizens, however, will be able to collect the new containers by going to the municipal waste center during opening hours. The final objective is, therefore, to limit the costs for users. "As per the regional resolution - concludes Pireddu - the Punctual Tariffation allows the Municipalities that apply it to obtain rewards to be used to reduce the tariff for individual citizens".
