The Carabinieri and the Prosecutor's Office are investigating what appears to have been a punitive expedition against a young man, who was severely beaten in Villasimius and ended up rushed to hospital in Cagliari.

Admitted to surgery, the boy would have undergone surgery to remove his spleen.

There would be four suspects in the beating: they would have acted in retaliation, after their victim had been suspected of having carried out a theft in the town , for which they believed he should be punished with a summary justice process.
