Dogs without water, without any shelter and tied to a ring fixed to the wall with a rope of a few centimetres, which severely limited their movements, not even allowing them to lie down, because in a stretched out position they would have risked strangulation.
It happens in Villasimius, where a 40-year-old man already known to the police was reported for animal cruelty.
The dogs, two German shepherds, kept in a dirty yard with various kinds of waste, could barely sit down and turn around.
The Carabinieri who intervened on site requested the intervention of the Director of the Department of Prevention and Hygiene of Livestock and Zootechnical Production of the Veterinary Service of the ASL Cagliari. The specialized personnel carried out a further inspection, to assess the situation and adopt the necessary measures.
