New Year's Eve at one hundred in Villagrande. Mrs. Regina Barrili has reached the milestone of a century of life .

Mother of four children, grandmother of four grandchildren, she is also great-grandmother of a four-year-old girl. Nonna Regina has always lived in the village, taking care of the work in the fields and of her family. Relatives and friends celebrated it at home, also in the presence of her older sister Aunt Barbara who turned 103 in December. A long-lived family that of grandmother Regina also the other sister of the Barrili, Maria, disappeared at the age of 103 years.

Very active and devoted, Regina worked in the garden until a few years ago, was a pistoccu at home and practiced gardening, sewing among her passions. In fact, he still has a nice sewing machine at home.

The centenarian lives with her sister and both are lovingly cared for by their families. Regina eats everything but by far her favorite dish is meat.

In the afternoon, the mayor Alessio Seoni visited her, who presented her with a plaque and brought her the wishes of the municipal administration and the whole town: "The new year begins with the confirmation of the particular longevity of our community" Seoni said.
