Oristano toasts Vernaccia and transforms its historic center into a grand tasting trail. This Friday, starting at 7:00 PM, "Le Notti del Vino – Calici, Vicoli e Sapori" (Wine Nights – Glasses, Vicoli, and Flavors) debuts. This event celebrates the city's entry into the National Association of Wine Cities, bringing together wineries, restaurants, producers, and retailers for an evening dedicated to the region's finest products.

The star of the show will be Vernaccia di Oristano DOC. Nine wineries will guide the public through tastings and stories of the region, while six restaurants will offer menus designed to showcase local wines. The historic center will thus be transformed into a multi-purpose restaurant with over 250 seats.

At 7:30 pm, there will be a forum dedicated to wine tourism and the presentation of the National Association of Wine Cities' flag, marking Oristano's official entry into the national network. This will be followed by the awards ceremony for the winners of the Vernaccia Mixology Contest, with seven venues reinterpreting Vernaccia through original cocktails.

The program also features fish specialties from the Sant'Andrea cooperative, traditional Oristano mostaccioli, shops open until 9:30 pm with themed windows, an exhibition of historic Fiat 500s, and, to close out, a concert by The Italian Mood Project followed by a DJ set by Riccardo Caboni.

"Oristano's membership in the National Association of Wine Cities represents recognition of our history and the quality of our winemaking heritage," emphasizes Mayor Massimiliano Sanna. For Productive Activities Councilor Valentina de Seneen, "The Wine Nights represent the first step in a journey destined to grow over the years," aiming to showcase the city through wine, culture, and hospitality.
