“Ѐ-Vento di Saccargia”, a great mobilization of the people. On Saturday 15 June the Sardinians are called to gather around the basilica of Saccargia, in the territory of Codrongianos, 20 kilometers from Sassari, to defend the island from the wind and photovoltaic assault that threatens the landscape and history of Sardinia.

The event is organized by the Coordination of the committees against energy speculation and will be broadcast live by the L'Unione Sarda Group media: Videolina, Radiolina and Unionesarda.it.

The date chosen is World Wind Day. That wind which unscrupulous businessmen want to appropriate for their own interests, far from those of those who live on this land. And the choice of site is not random either. Indeed, it is a symbol: the Romanesque church is threatened by a gigantic wind farm, branded Erg, which has ended up at the center of a dispute before the administrative judges. The Council of State gave the green light, because it considers the interest in renewables to be "pre-eminent" compared to that of protecting the archaeological heritage.

And the battle of the Sardinians passes through Saccargia. Saturday 15 June, with reception from 12pm to 2.30pm, will be a "Day of the Wind" dedicated to celebration, art and reflection, dedicated to the defense of identity and territory. The event will be enriched by musical interventions alternating with short informative interventions and aims to capture attention on imminent dangers that threaten the whole of Sardinia, at 360°.

Among the speakers: the anthropologist Fiorenzo Caterini, the naturalist Mirko Piras, the archaeologist Domingo Dettori, the agronomist Maurizio Fadda and the geologist Giulia Cossu. During the day the following will perform: Andrea Andrillo, Alberto Balia, Claudia Crabuzza, Marino De Rosas, Dr Drer & CRC posse, Carlo Doneddu, Riccardo Loi, Francesco Piu, Federico Marras, Lorenzo Mazzocchetti, Giancarlo Murranca, Carlo Sezzi, Alessandro Zolo and others again, who are continuously adhering to the initiative.

Not just music, however: there is also space for an area for the little ones with the puppets of Nadia Imperio, the stories of Elena Cannas and Caterina Civai and the great games of Tricirco Animazione.
