THE MAYOR – « Not all jokes count at Carnival - writes Mayor Carlo Sotgiu on his Facebook profile where he has also published some photos - Today is one of those days when a mayor wakes up early to pay homage to his community. He feels the need to say a big thank you to all the people who have made it possible to create such a beautiful and well-attended carnival. He would like to thank the participants of the floats, the associations and individual volunteers who have given their contribution in various capacities. As well as law enforcement, municipal police and security officers. And it's right to do it and I do it. Thank you all. But then I receive photos, I read, I see, I go, I check, I check. I see gratuitous vandalism. I see damage that wasn't there, I see that the monument to our dear fellow citizens who fell in the wars of the last century is not even respected . There is our history there, there is a piece of us. So a little bitterness remains in the mouth. If only one knew how much effort, effort and dedication it costs to organize a party like this perhaps, I stress perhaps, one would have more respect for public affairs. Not respecting the commons means not respecting oneself » .
