A 22-year-old had an epileptic seizure this afternoon while bathing at San Pietro a Mare in Valledoria and drowned .
He was rescued but in cardiac arrest .
The 118 emergency call center in Sassari immediately sent the Viddalba base vehicle and the helicopter rescue from Alghero to the scene with a medical team that performed resuscitation maneuvers with the resumption of circulation.
The young man is now hospitalized in intensive care at the Santissima Annunziata in Sassari .
