Any flu vaccinations in pharmacies are good, but "further responsibilities for employees without any financial compensation are unacceptable." These are the words of Cristiano Ardau, General Secretary of UILTuCS Sardinia, after the Region's decision to cut pharmacists from extra work and the immediate protest of some political representatives and Federfarma .

For Ardau, the challenge to the Board Resolution "must be discussed with the unions. The so-called "pharmacy of services" so strongly supported by Federfarma, which sees these units as the first territorial health facility, requires specific agreements with workers who over the years have seen their responsibilities and workloads increase without any economic recognition".

The request for new allowances goes hand in hand with the "recent start of negotiations for the renewal of the CCNL of Private Pharmacies, now inadequate in the regulatory and remuneration part", continues Ardau. After having recalled that Italian pharmacists receive salaries among the lowest in the tertiary sector and in Europe", the appeal to the institutions and to politics. "Show sensitivity also by convening a special regional table on the issue, the time has come for the sector to reflect on the conditions of workers in the sector, for years without any recognition".
