Tinuccio Sannitu is no longer president of the Pro Loco. He announced his resignation in a message addressed to all board members, including resigning from all his positions. He was elected just six months ago, alongside a board characterized by a youthful presence. He was supposed to lead the group, having been with the Pro Loco for many years. Health reasons are reportedly the official reasons for his sudden and unexpected resignation.

"I've been unwell for some time and have decided to leave," says Sannitu. "I'm also resigning from the board of directors, retaining only my membership card. My resignation is irrevocable."

The reasons behind the resignation, however, are said to be related to relationships with the board members themselves. Vice President Roberta Cugusi confirmed the resignation. "We haven't yet received the official resignation, but we were only informed via WhatsApp. Now we're waiting for the resignation to be announced through official channels, and then we'll have to wait for UNPLI's directives to figure out how to address this situation."

The Pro Loco has approximately 130 active members, who contributed to a historic turning point last April with the election of a new board of directors, composed primarily of young people. Vice President Roberta Cugusi, Secretary Rita Farina, Treasurer Fabio Porru, and Board Members Sara Virdis, Christian Coghe, and Gianmarco Oggianu remain in office. This upheaval at the Pro Loco comes at a crucial time, as the association is busy organizing the Sagra de S'Antunna, as well as the regional book fair, scheduled for November.
