She attempted to deliver drugs to her inmate companion during interviews in Uta prison: surprised by the agents, she was reported to be on the loose.

Suspicious of the woman's attitude during the preparatory checks for entry into the institution, the officers surprised her while with a sudden gesture she was trying to give her partner a wrapper containing approximately 15 grams of hashish .

This was announced by the general secretary of the UIL PA Penitentiary Police of Sardinia Michele Cireddu: «Despite the serious difficulties in which the officers are forced to work, they demonstrate on a daily basis that they are on the ball. The fight against the introduction of narcotic substances into institutions, at least for the Penitentiary Police, does not stop and it is important to note even the smallest detail to stop the trafficking attempt. Info-investigative investigations are very important and the staff works with maximum concentration. In our opinion, however, the Administration could demonstrate the same tenacity in preventing the trafficking of illicit substances by providing a dog unit in every large penitentiary institution and also providing staff with suitable equipment. If these substances had been introduced it is not difficult to hypothesize that they could have created devastating effects, especially since the majority of prisoners suffer from serious pathologies. The operating personnel are applauded by all levels of the UIL, hoping that the administration will also recognize the great operational capacity".
