The Alpine and speleological rescue operations center was alerted at 12.45 today by 118. Due to the unfavorable weather conditions, the Areus helicopter was unable to intervene and the management of the injured person was taken over by the local teams with 7 technicians from the Alpine Rescue of the Ogliastra and Nuoro stations and the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of Nuoro. The woman was reached, stabilized, loaded onto the stretcher and carried on a sedan chair.

After a long and tiring transport, caused not only by the long distance (2 kilometres) but also by the steep difference in altitude (300 metres), the group reached the "Passo Silana" where the ambulance was waiting for it to be transported to the hospital. The speech ended at 4.32pm. The intervention comes a few hours after another accident, along the same path, in which a Paduan tourist was injured .
