An Air Force Falcon 900 today transported urgently from Olbia to Rome two children in danger of life in need of being transferred as soon as possible to the "Bambino Gesù" pediatric hospital.

The Italian Air Force made it known in a note, explaining that "the two little patients - a baby just two days old and a two-month old baby, who, due to respiratory failure, traveled inside a special thermal cradle - they were both hospitalized at San Francesco di Nuoro ”.

The life-saving flight, requested in the morning by the Prefecture of Nuoro, was immediately coordinated and arranged by the Summit Situation Room of the Air Squad Command, the operations room of the Air Force which also has among its tasks to manage this type of missions by activating one of the aircraft that the Armed Force keeps ready, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, for this kind of need.

Given the urgency, the two children, in compliance with anti-Covid regulations, were boarded on the same plane together with family members and a medical team who guaranteed assistance during transport.
