Urgent military flight from Cagliari to Rome to save the life of an 18-day-old baby

An 18-day-old newborn , in imminent danger of life , was urgently transported from Cagliari to Rome with an Air Force Falcon 50 .

The little one was embarked inside a thermal cradle on the military aircraft belonging to the 31st Wing accompanied by both parents and specialized medical personnel.

The life-saving flight - to transfer the newborn from the Duilio Casula Polyclinic in Monserrato to the Bambin Gesù Pediatric Hospital in the capital - was activated at the request of the Prefecture of Cagliari from the Summit Situation Room of the Air Force Command, the operations room of the 'Air Force.
