Urgent flight from Alghero to Rome for a 4 day old baby girl

New emergency medical transport from Sardinia to the peninsula.

Yesterday evening a 4-day-old baby girl was transferred from Alghero to Rome with a Falcon 50 of the 31st Wing of Ciampino.

The little girl, whose life was in danger - explains the Air Force - needed to arrive with extreme urgency and maximum timeliness from the University Hospital of Sassari to the Bambino Gesù pediatric hospital in Rome, to receive specific treatment.

The Falcon 50 boarded the little girl, accompanied by her parents and assisted by a medical team, at Alghero-Fertilia airport inside a thermal cot.

Upon arrival, an ambulance was waiting for her and took her to her destination hospital.
