The disappearance of Samanta Coppi, councillor for health and social services , has caused considerable dismay, indignation and words of condemnation: One of the three umbrellas placed on the platform dedicated to people with disabilities, on Zia Colomba beach, in Capo Testa.
"This act deeply saddens us," the councilor commented, "because it doesn't just represent the theft of an object, but the deprivation of an essential service designed for those who face greater difficulties every day and who should find support, inclusion, and respect in these spaces. We are deeply sorry for what happened, because it's not the administration that suffers the damage, but those who need special attention to be able to enjoy the beach with peace of mind."
In any case, Councilor Samanta Coppi's promise is to "replace the stolen umbrella with a new one, identical to the other two already present, specially crafted with careful attention to shape and color to offer a welcoming and comfortable environment for people with disabilities." Finally, the councilor appeals to citizens' civic sense, reminding them that some have apparently been lost or never owned, "common goods are everyone's heritage and must be protected and respected, especially when they are designed to ensure equal opportunities and dignity for those most vulnerable."
