The call for applications was published some time ago, but no doctor has chosen the Uras location . This is the response of the Oristano Local Health Authority (ASL) to Mayor Samuele Fenu, who two days ago sent a note to Commissioner Argiolas requesting the expansion of the Ascot clinic. This is in light of the large number of patients left without a doctor following the retirement of Aldo Rizzetto.
"Precisely to meet the needs expressed by the Municipality and the citizens, starting next week the shifts at the Uras Ascot will increase from three to four ," the ASL announced. "We understand the inconvenience for patients, but we are implementing all possible solutions. Unfortunately, general practitioners have not been choosing locations in the Oristano area for some time, and the only option available to the company to cover retirements is to expand these special clinics , which remain voluntary for the doctors. Therefore, the actual opening days and hours vary from week to week and are therefore communicated weekly by our company."
Fenu also reported the inconveniences experienced in the very small Via Marconi clinic: "We are working with the municipal administration to finalize the previously discussed solution, namely the use of new premises, as quickly as possible, " the ASL concluded.
