It seems that some excessive comments by Andrea Giuntoli towards a niece of Francesco Salis , jokes that, according to what has emerged, had been going on for days and were certainly not appreciated by the uncle , are what triggered the argument that began in a bar in Santa Giusta and ended a short distance away, in via Dante, with the death of the 44 year old Salis who was hit by a gunshot to the abdomen.
Giuntoli , a 43-year-old worker, was later tracked down by the Carabinieri in his home and is now in Massama prison on the very serious charge of voluntary homicide .
An episode that leaves the entire local community “incredulous” and “saddened” , as in the words of the mayor Andrea Casu.
Giuntoli , questioned at length by investigators, has already admitted his responsibilities and in the next few hours will appear before the investigating judge for the preliminary hearing.
The military findings, which would confirm the hypothesis of a fight before the fatal shot, however require further investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the murder and find full confirmation of the version provided by Giuntoli, who was immediately subjected to the stub test .
The hunting rifle was seized, several witnesses were interviewed, and the images from the video cameras in the area were also examined. The past of both men is also being investigated, and it is not excluded that there could have been old grudges linked to the world of drugs.
An autopsy has been ordered on Salis' body.
